I am so glad to have found a site for just Shermans. I like modeling WW2 armor but don't get alot of time for it. Recently finished an Italeri LVT A 2. I am currently working on the old Tamiya M4A3 using an article from Oct Nov 2010 FSM by Jim Wechsler as a guide. I am trying out some resin parts for the first time as well as Panda tracks. The level of skill here in modeling is outstanding. I like watching all the builds going on. My bible is Hunnicutt's Sherman book.
Welcome to the forum! In biblical terms, you have a good start with Hunnicutt. That's the Old Testament. But you need the New Testament as well, Son of Sherman by Laughlin & Stansell. Between the two you pretty much have the complete technical reference. There are plenty of other Sherman and variant scriptures worth having, as well, for more specialized subjects: Hayward for Firefly, Gannon and Manasherob for IDF Shermans, and Lucy for Ram and it's variants.
"You could probably use some armor. A Sherman can give you a very nice...edge!"
