Well, we're getting close to release time now. I just got the trial castings yesterday, and I'm very pleased with them. Shown here are the raw parts, save for the lift rings (those didn't make it into the box). But everything else is there. I'll post more pictures when I've had a chance to clean everything up and put a turret set together. Price still TBD, but I do know that the molds to do this as a hollow item are complex and expensive; Steve and I still have to work out the final figures. But figure about two weeks now until the official release.

So this is what it looks like put together, minus the lift rings. And the smoke dischargers on the right side a a bit far aft, but I was in a hurry to get this together for photographs (and they'll be easy to pop off and reposition). The last image shows my new turret in the center, flanked by a corrected DEF turret on the left and an uncorrected DEF on the right. The difference in the size of the bustle is evident.
I'll be ready to ship by the end of the month. The price will be $35 plus shipping. Shipping is $11 for the US, or $15 for multiple turrets. Shipping to Canada and overseas is $15 for one, and I can quote specific rates for multiples. I'll also offer the barrel & muzzle brake separately for $17, should you want to dress up an EBR-10, AMX-13, or an older M50 turret. Contact me at gtbuechler@hotmail.com to order. Thanks!
Greg

Thanks, Rod! I do hope it's well received and sells well. The capital costs for this one are steep; the molding for the turret shell and muzzle brakes is complicated and expensive and the barrel is a significant cost driver as well because of the tooling charges. Margins on this product are pretty thin, but I think it will all work out over time.

Coming really soon now. I have it on good authority that a big box of resin will be in the mail to me today, so by the end of this week I can fill orders. Yay!

Glad to know it arrived safely, Rod. I just got back home from vacation, so this is as good a time as any to announce the official release of this. Anyone who wants one, drop me a line at my regular email gtbuechler@hotmail.com. Tomorrow is going to be pretty crazy with just-back-home stuff (and an afternoon funeral), but I can start shipping on Tuesday.
