This is Dragons El Alamein Sherman, (it is really a Sherman II DV or M4A1 DV how ever you want look at it), I'm building for a campaign over on another site. It ahs been pretty straight forward build. Added some casting numbers from Archer. Nothing to complain about at all, really enjoying it.
Hey dogfish, they are pretty easy. I just put a coat of future down first and then a thin coat of future over the top after. When I have to cut out single numbers or letters, I like to have the future still a little wet. Helps keep them from wandering. These things also come off the backing in like 2 seconds so I usually leave it on my finger then use an exacto blade to move it to part.
dogfish, they are easy! I fist mark the spot where I think I want them. Then a clear the spot(s) with Testors gloss clear. They come off the backing easy, I use tweezers to move (push) them around. After they dry I coat with Micro Sol. I tend to not to use the separate ones as I can hardly read the smaller ones any ways. I use them to make some extra detail, along as there is something there that my eyes know and that is what counts for me.
Oh and I'm not a fan of decals, that must come from experiences long ago, so if I love them that is saying something.
How does the hull look dimensionally? The original non-DV hull was too wide, overhanging the tracks by a fair amount and having too much tumblehome to the sides. I've never seen one of this particular kit up close.
"You could probably use some armor. A Sherman can give you a very nice...edge!"

I not really sure. Never built this one (or any DV M4), guess as I get closer to finishing we will have a better idea.
