I remember watching Doris come together in the sherman campaign on Armorama. Nice collection of Iwo tanks.

All the sandbags were made from either Milliput or Apoxie Sculpt. I create the basic shape then place it on the tank. After that I use my handy dandy dental pick to sculpt the seams and folds. After they sit for a while I wrap an old T shirt around my finger and lightly press on the bags embossing the cloth pattern in the surface. None are glued in place, the adhesive properties of the putty(s) hold them together.
