Here is the finial installment in this series. The photos below are taken from various Technical Manuals based around the GAA power plant. Note there are different DRY and WET stowage arrangements and I tried to note where they occur. This is not the end all or be all regarding the GAA power plant so if you have some KOOL reference materiel please share with us all here in the Shop. I hope everyone enjoyed this series and found it helpful with either ongoing or future builds.
Allow me to draw your attention to the image of the radiator being lifted; though not labeled as such it's Figure #60. Notice that this is the same radiator in the M50/M51 tanks; it is installed upside-down from this view in the IDF versions. Those three fittings, which may be drain plugs, face down on the IDF tanks. If they are drain plugs, then the radiator arrangement in the M4A3 is a little odd in that it would require removal of the radiator to drain the coolant...so they may have some other function. But the orientation is clear; up on the A3 and down on the M50/M51.
