Here she is. Right now,I am not sure if I will build this as an Israeli version,or late U.S. Army. After looking through the Son of Sherman book,I can tell by the casting symbols on the turret it is a Union Steel Castings turret.
I am not sure if the casting symbols on the mantlet are correct. I do wish I could read the symbol marking in the book as far as the .50 holder on the rear turret, and the shell ejector door go. I will need to go through the book, and hopefully find the info I need.
I suck at weld beads.

That is a good choice. You can remove them and try again easy. Give it another shot.
I may try some .010 rod. That may work out better.
I use 0.10 rod for welds and have found that the Red Slater styrene rod works the best as it seems to wrinkle up on its own if you use ET glue liberally then wait a minute or two and then use a small probing tool to give it a little texture where needed. The only catch to the Slater product is they are from over the pond and if you live in USA it is difficult to get, I happened to stumble on to a deal and bought a number of packages.. Evergreen is OK but not as fine and doesn't seem to do the wrinkle thing.
Zod in SOS, did that turret with the former radio antenna point in front of the loader's hatch, have an oval hatch/ My SOS is out of reach atm.Nice work on the cast texture.

Carl. Yes it did. Thanks.

As others have said, it's coming along nicely! Keep it up
Weld beads: I use Plastruct .010" and Evergreen .015" rod, and I also use Archer's Surface Details decals. The weld beads on the turret of my Egyptian AMX Sherman were done with Archer decals.
Casting symbols: The Archer Surface Details sheets are superb for this. I also use plastic letters & numbers, some from the accessory sprue that comes with the Academy M10/M36 kits and some shaved from various kit sprues. Both methods much easier than using photoetch brass, like in Bronco's Chaffee kit.
"You could probably use some armor. A Sherman can give you a very nice...edge!"
I will be adding more weld beads on the hull rear after I prime. I have had bad luck with the Archer surface details sticking onto bare plastic. I need to find what the transmission cover casting markings are from the Union Steel Castings factory look like.

I've been slack in posting comments to builds and this is one that is long over due. Zod this M4A1 is nicely executed and the work and details are great.....awesome work!!
