Messing around on Facebook I found these pictures of some Iranian M4A1 76mm Shermans from the 1953 coupe. Well today while I waiting for the putty to dry on another project I start digging in my Sherman junk yard and found just enough parts to get this started. Hey whats one more Sherman kit going right? Lets see how far I can get today........
I could use some thoughts on the colors, what you guys think they are. I'm thinking Sand with OD or some green.
starting point
The turret I'll use will be a old DML that I rebuilt to use on my last project. I ended up liking the Italeri on better for that. I put the work into it why not. I'll post the progress photos of it later, wanted to have the starting point as of today.
I will keep taking photos along the way. This should be a fun project.
pretty much done with the casting texture on the hull
I also do casting texture on the cover as for the ones I have seen are cast
I added some block off pieces to a couple of the spoke wheels, again all the Shermans I've seen that have the post war rebuild have them. I really just wanted to try it
Thanks Redneck, glad you said that as that was where I was leaning.
Dogfish7 That is a mix of 3M automotive blue stop putty and Testors liquid cement. I have two bottles of different thickness now and I work between them. I think I have some photos to help. I'll check
