Speedster, do you have any other images or information on this thing? It looks like it has two engines fitted; maybe one for the rig and one to drive some other apparatus? I can't tell if that pole thingie with all the drooping wires/ hoses is a part of this machine, or just part of the background. Whatever it is, it does not appear to be any kind of logging equipment.

Ahh, that makes sense, Speedster...a drill rig. Two engines would make sense, since one would drive the drill and the other the vehicle. That second photo shows an interesting suspension variant; the springs are horizontal like HVSS but they're coil springs, not volute. Actually looks more like a Horstmann bogie; I wonder if those units were from one of the high-speed tractors?
BTW, Speedster, did you get my PM's regarding the Chilean M51?

Lots of good images of the Madill 071 in this latest batch, and the 009, too. The 009 clearly wasn't built on a standard Sherman chassis; it's too long for that and a little too wide, as well. I've never seen one, but it's possible that dimensionally it's similar to the M40/M43 SP guns, which were wider than other Shermans. I noticed that of the Rusty Grapple images posted, one shows another 071 running on CDP track like the Tillamook yarder. A couple of the 071 images also show the optional fitment of four powered guyline winches instead of the standard three. Also worth noting are the differences in the screening of the engine compartment on the right side and the style and placement of the operator's boarding ladder. Lots of ways to go when modeling one of these, that's for sure.
