I came here with an invitation from Gary who I got to know real well from the Big A. I'm a laid back individual who likes to build almost anything in plastic or resin and I usually try to study as much as I can about the subject. I do have a dry sense of humor so I'll try to not let that come out too often!
I do like to help out modelers (if requested) but I am not much of a rivet counter per say, again... only if asked for. I believe in modelers building their models as they wish and leave the criticism to the other forums, who just seem to lurk and pounce on you. LOL
My main interest is armor and tracked vehicles building in any scale (but mainly 1/35) and I am heavily into 1/16 Radio Controlled tanks. I AM a HUGE Sherman tank fan and have built 3 1/16 RC Sherman versions so far and have 3 on the drawing board. I do occasionally grab a Sci-Fi kit, aircraft (especially WWI planes or older helicopters), and won't shy away from a car or truck kit too.
I am 54 years young, married for 30 years (this time) and have 2 daughters... one 36 and the other 24. Yeah, I started young! LOL I was once an ASE Certified Technician working on mainly BMW's, Nissans and Toyotas but cut my teeth on American Iron. I am retired at the moment because of a physical issue but I still get around and love to travel with my lovely wife. At home we have 3 dogs we call our children and life just couldn't be better right now. Okay, it could if say I won the lottery!
Sorry for recycling the same intro. But this looks like a fine place to hang out as I do love Sherman tanks, even though I use the Panther F username. The Internet was flooded with all kinds of Sherman names and so I knew at the time the Panther F was pretty much unknown.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys and thanks for having me! Hopefully I can contribute in some form.
