It was worth the shot at them as they were both under 20 bucks! Now I need to kit bash the Mini Craft A1 with the Italeri Marines A3 to make some room. Then I have a started DML M4A3 (76)W HVSS #9010 that came with the resin lower hull as an update to finish.
It's gonna be a Sherman fest after the Russian and Japanese tanks are built.
And I still need to get a Tamiya kit which is why I was on eBay in the first place but no-way was I going to pass up on this deal!
A4 hull is longer because of the Chrysler automotive engines used. By the way that is a good kit. I would not finding a couple more on the cheap.
The M4A4 and the M4A6 had the same hull but the A4 used the A57 Multibank engine.
It cranked out almost 500HP but was sent to other countries under the lend lease act.
How would you like to tune that babe up? They claimed that even if 12 out of its 30 cylinders were knocked out it would still run. It's a monster and I'd love to find the engine to build off to the side!

But the dirty little secret of the stash is this: I like to collect tank transporter kits, and the Snap-Fit REvellogram Mack R600 with tanker. That last is an excellent place from which to start a Mack DM 895 tractor and scratchbuilt lowboy as used by the IDF.

OH MAN, I wanna see pics!!! LOL
Beekster, that is a sweet list of kits right there!
I don't know where I'd stack 'em all up to get them in a single photo! The War Room is big, but with walls of bookcases, a glass display case, two desks, and a big table there's not a lot of open floor space! Most of the space under the table is taken up with kits, especially the tank transporters. A closet is filled floor to ceiling, and there's more in the attic space beyond. Most of that is aircraft kits; haven't built a plane in years but this is stuff I've had for decades. It's a sickness, really it is!

Current Sherman stash:
Tamiya M51 (future Chilean 105mm armed tank, also have the Bison decals and Greg's conversion) Dragon Sherman III (future Iwo Jima USMC tank, have the Archer markings) Tasca Jumbo (TBD) Tasca M4A3(w) 76mm (TBD)
Those things are ancient! And I mean almost quarter-century-old ancient. I have remnants of one of these sets still lying around; used the light guards and 'scope guards on something years ago. Really good stuff for the era, they still hold up well today and are bordering on being collectible these days. For sure On The Mark is long gone.

I spoke to Mark at IPMS Nats, said that he did not have time this year to even set up a table, but still around and kickin'. I just love the stuff.
