Basically a welded late hull M4 with E9 spaced track. Armed with a flamethrower for use by the Marines. The one in the pictures is or was at the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum in Huntsville, AL. No idea how many are even surviving but a friend of mine was asking about the details on the gun. Length, hole spacing and such.
Well, I'm seeing a cast hull M4A1 small-hatch with E9 kit, but never mind. Dimensions that detailed may be impossible to find, but the images show the barrel to be about the same as the M3 75mm gun, and it was undoubtedly designed to look no different than a standard Sherman. I did find the thing in Hunnicutt, and a cutaway drawing of the flame gun shows that the barrel (flame gun shroud, really) is tapered, just like a regular late 75mm barrel with no flare at the end. The shroud was made of half inch plate, so obviously rolled and welded. There's probably a longitudinal seam somewhere. The open end should have a wall thickness of only .01428", so careful drilling of the bore will be required for scale effect, and if you're really ambitious you could drill out the base of the barrel, too, and insert some small-diameter brass or steel tube to represent the flame barrel itself. Do you need the drawing of the flame gun from Hunnicutt? I could scan it and email it to you.

Did not pull the Bible out. Will do it this evening. Figured some MAD SHERMAN builder had already been there and done that.
Not necessarily...for whatever reason, the flame tanks that don't look any different from the gun tanks don't do much for me. The Crocodile I like, because of the trailer and the funky conduit on the right side. Also the assault tank prototype T33. Now, that one is a beast...but requires a scratchbuilt turret. Whole lotta work...

I knew it would not appeal to you (not enough changes need to be made). LOL The E9 suspension would be a challenge and costly (two sets of duckbills) and time consuming (Bronco actually makes a set). Over on plasticarmour he has pictures of his build so far.
