My latest build a Sherman 1B, 9 Troop, C Squadron, 19th Armoured Regiment, Italy 1945.
The base kit is Dragon's M4 105 Howitzer with a mantlet dust cover and exhaust deflector added to convert it to a 1B. I've also added Tasca running gear, Bronco tracks, photoetch from ET and Voyager and Formations tools. Barrels are from RB. Decals are from my spares box from various manufacturers.
Oh, forgot to mention that I also added a turret stowage box. This was a modified Voyager PE version with the bin lid modified at the top to represent the squared off version used in Italy.
Looks real fine, Gary! I like the burnished metal look on areas of crew activity. Sherman paint was baked on and very durable, but with repeated abrasion it will buff up a sheen. I did a Firefly of 18th Armoured Regiment a few years ago; I'll post it in the gallery.
"You could probably use some armor. A Sherman can give you a very nice...edge!"
