I thought Id post up a few pictures of the M4 Hurricane and see if we can get a conversation started on this one.
This is a picture of it being backed onto an LST prior to D-Day. As you can see, it has no pistol port on the turret.
Here it is again further into the campaign getting an engine replacement. She is sporting a multi color camo pattern. Features I see are a late sharp nosed differential and turret with cast in check armor.
Ummmmmm.......someone in Detroit perhaps? I looked at that pic when i was buildin my 1/48 version and never noticed that. I need to pay more attention, huh John.
I have the Son of Sherman as well but I actually pulled the data from the Sherman Minutia website as I was at work at the time and didn't have access to my book. I believe you can find the year and month of acceptance by checking the book.

Hi guys,
According to SoS it was ALCO-built, accepted Sep 1943. I built one from a mix of Tasca & Italeri parts for an Armorama.com campaign, and pics can be found >here<. I wept when I shaved off the lovely Tasca shell-ejection port!

Hi John,
I would, but haven't figured it out yet - is there storage here, or do I need to link to externally held images in Photobucket etc? I wimped out in the previous post and gave it a link in the word "here" once I figured out the way to insert links...
