I was corresponding with Greg via eMail and he mentions the "Sherman Shop" and his WIP images of the Madill Yarder vehicle. Curiosity for anything based on a Sherman brought me to this place and I see some other familiar names that are members here and on other forums I frequent. So naturally I had to join.
So What do I bring to the party? Not much. Just an imagination and enthusiasm for what-if and alternate history type subjects and more than a passing interest in the Sherman family of vehicles. I was an intelligence analyst in the Army for thirteen of the sixteen years I was wearing the uniform. Enjoyed the job but getting promoted took the fun away when I had to do more supervising instead of analyzing.
I live near Silverdale, Washington on what is known as the Kitsap Peninsula just northwest of Tacoma and about directly east of Seattle (with Puget Sound getting in the way of things).
Glad to have you here, Jeff! Things are a little quiet here right now, but I'm keeping going on the Madill and planning an M31 with Treadway bridge; the M31 is started and will cease to be a shelf queen. Post up some images in the Gallery of the stuff you've done.

Kit/aftermarket. I've got an Academy M3 Lee with Legends M31 tank retriever conversion that was started a while ago and put aside. I need to get a Tasca VVSS Set C for it the Lee & very early Sherman set with return roller above the bogie frame. The thing will be well down at the nose because of the weight of the cantilevered brige section, and only the Tasca suspension has that kind of adjustability. A vendor on Shapeways has a Treadway bridge section and adapter plate for an M32, and I'll have to order those. The adapter plate will need some standoffs made from Evergreen I-beams to make it fit the Lee diff cover, but that's straightforward stuff.
