I am building the Tamiya M4A3 1980's issue. The hull is stamped 1981 and it is Kit # MM-222A . I ordered the Formations F052 . Do I have to cut off the idler mount on the model or can I mate the Formations parts to the cast detail on the hull of the model? Seems like a lot of extra work. I am going to use Panda tracks. Do I even need the adjustable set up with Panda tracks? I am new to both Formations and Panda.
You will not need an adjustable idler wheel when using Panda tracks. However, the Tamiya sprocket will need to be widened so the Panda tracks will fit. Just don't glue the sprocket halves together like you normally would. Just leave a gap between the joint halves on the sprockets. A dry test fit with the Panda tracks helps.
A tank filled with holes.
For that is what shall become.
Boom we go.
Goodbye.
