Looking great so far! I've got one of these buried somewhere; missing some of the bits for raising & lowering the spade. Might have to look for another kit cheap on a show vendor's table; I can always cast copies of what I'm missing so that both could eventually be completed. I might suggest toning down the texture a bit on the diff cover, it looks a little rough...though that might be an artifact of the camera and close-up focus, too. And Barrel Depot made an aluminum barrel for this kit...I don't have one, either.
"You could probably use some armor. A Sherman can give you a very nice...edge!"
I ended up gluing the barrel all together before I learned that Barrel Depot had one. I would have gone that route for sure. The trans. housing still needs a another coat.
Right now I have a M50 idea bouncing around my head, just might have to go a stick something together to get it to quit!
Awesome looking 12 SPEED!!! The details you have done thus far are top notch. I'll most definitely be following this. M50 idea???...do tell.
Thanks! Put more work into it than I wanted to at the start, but hey having fun.
The M50 (which I started yesterday afternoon) is a kit bash with all DML parts, M51 lower hull and suspension, M4A2 late upper hull and a old M50 turret. Going to give a try at re-sizing the counter weight. Will start a build post as soon as I have enough pictures, most likely this weekend. I'm thinking SLA version, but still need to get it assembled first.
