Ok guys I'm starting something new! Using the Tamiya M1 Sherman kit I will be making a ETO version. So all new markings, new crew, and lots of stowage. Work has already begun so here are some pictures.
There is really nothing much to backdate. These were standard late model M4A1's. All A1's after tank 1225 had the oval loaders hatch and muzzle brake. The muzzle brake was not popular with crews in Europe, but some units retained them. Most late A1's were manufactured with HVSS suspension or were converted to it so this tank fits into small time frame within Sherman history.

Hi MR T. Like what you are doing with the Tamiya m1 Sherman model.Im doing some work on the Tamiya early m4 as a British Sherman 1.Like your detailing work.Keep up the good work!!. Cheers from Richard
I worked on the turret last night. Working out the seam in the turret halves took some time. The Mk1 designs metal barrel was a perfect fit and the turned brass radio mast looks great!
Ok it's update time. Received some new goodies on Saturday in the form of new markings for the M4. I'm going to try out some Archer's casting numbers. I also did some painting on the lower hull. See what you think.
I used the foundry symbols from Archer on my M4A3E8 build and they are pretty nice. They will definitely add a nice touch to your build which coming along nicely. Do you know what unit you are going to place this tank with.
